Details announced: 11th Footman James
Classic Vehicle Restoration Show & Auction

Show-bannerThe great and good of the classic car and vehicle restoration world are gearing up for a major car show, which takes place at the Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet over 5th-6th November.
The 11th Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show & Auction will feature three halls of themed club car displays, and up to 100 exhibitors who will help visitors learn many aspects of vehicle restoration techniques.

The themed club displays (see editor's notes) are a speciality of the show, and event organiser, Nigel Stevens, anticipates a very high level of entry this year.
"Visitors love the displays and demonstrations. They are so creative and make the show special," says Nigel.
"3PicsWe have already confirmed a drag strip display, one with a museum theme and another that features the restoration of seemingly un-restorable projects.
"Other car clubs will focus squarely on aspects of car restoration, be it engine or chassis, general overhaul or finishing touches, such as chrome work and polishing." he says.
The Volvo Enthusiasts Club will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the P1800; a car made famous by Roger Moore who drove one in the TV series 'The Saint.'
The show will also feature restorers and maintenance experts giving advice and demonstrations, with stalls and autojumblers offering all the motoring gadgets spares and tools motorists could dream of.
Show organiser Nigel Stevens says that the show is ideal for those looking to for advice, gadgets and spares to restore, or maintain, their vehicles over the Winter months.
"Quite simply, the show is all about helping people cut the cost of classic motoring," says Nigel.
"Our 10 shows so far have been immensely popular with classic car industry, which over recent years has seen this become the number one restoration show in the country.
"We are also bringing together a wealth of expertise in general car restoration and maintenance. With so many professionals under one roof, any motorist can get useful independent advice that should help them steer clear of any pitfalls, regardless of their vehicle's age, make or model," he says.
Visitors can bring their own classic car to show off in the VIP viewing area, or buy a classic vehicle at an on-site auction, which is held on Sunday by leading classic vehicle auctioneer Charterhouse.
Their star lot is an immaculate 1966 Jaguar Mark II saloon. The owner has spent around £65,000 on its restoration, but appears here with a guide of £20-£22,000, which seems sure to be bettered.
The 11th Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show takes place at the Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, over the weekend of 5th-6th November. Doors are open from 9.30am to 4pm on both days. Tickets are available at £8 and car parking is free.
Further information and discounted tickets are available at www.bccsl.co.uk, or call 0117 907 1000.
The show's headline sponsor is Footman James Insurance and the media sponsors are Classic Car Weekly, Practical Classics and Classic Cars magazine. The event is supported by Classic Motor Monthly and Autojumbler.
