1988 habe ich Wolf Ziegler zufällig kennen gelehrt. Er hatte sich gerade seinen ersten Morris Minor gekauft. Einen grünen Traveller. Und er hatte Fragen, brauchte Hilfe und Ersatzteile. CI.eu und auch das deutsche Morris Minor Register gab es damals noch nicht. Das wurde erst viele Jahre später, mit seiner Unterstützung, gegründet.

Sein Traveller war nur der Anfang. Mit der Zeit wuchs Wolfs Morris Sammlung deutlich an. Er selbst entwickelte sich mehr und mehr zu einem Morris Minor Spezialisten und fand so zunehmend mehr Kontakte auf der britischen Insel, zum Beispiel zu die Morris Enthusiasten Ross Smith und John Beardmore.

The first Goodwood Breakfast Club of the 2013 season will kick off on Sunday 3 March at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
The theme – Tax Free Sunday – will celebrate pre–1973 tax-free classics, plus modern eco-friendly vehicles, with a nod to key anniversaries, including the Centenary of Aston Martin as well as the Vauxhall 30/98, 60 years of the Corvette, 50 years of the Mini Cooper S and Lotus Cortina.
If your vehicle matches this month's Breakfast Club theme, you may be selected to park it on the grid where you can show off your fabulous vehicle. Limited space is available, so register here and be at the Motor Circuit early on Sunday. Gates open at 08:00hrs.

Goodwood has become synominous with the Festival of Speed and the Revival, but being my local circuit, it's always good to visit on quitter days for smaller, but no less enthusiastic events. Now that we are properly into autumn a cold day at Goodwood for the VSCC Sprint in the perfect excuse for a day out to extend the season a little further.
The Club has a number of classifications for membership: owners of cars built before 1931 and a Driving Membership for cars registered pre 1940. It is also possible to join as an Associate, for those who have an interest in cars of the period. The Club has a strong membership of some 7 500 and have some 35 events across the season; including hill climbs, trials and autotests. There are also some 600 pub meets during the course of the year. The cars of the period are very much of a by-gone age, when motoring was a pleasure, before motorways and heavy traffic.
