 Verschiedene Oldtimer-Magazine haben bereits auf die Vorteile des aktuellen Wechselkurses zwischen dem  Britischen Pfund und dem € hingewiesen. Es ist noch nicht sehr lange her, da mussten die Festlands-Europäer noch 1,5 € für £ 1 berappen. Heute ist das günstiger.
1 Pfund Sterling = 1,069467 Euro
Der aktuelle Kurs ist nicht nur für die Britische Exportindustrie vorteilhaft, auch Enthusiasten von Britisch Classic Cars haben gute Aussichten drüben ein Schnäppchen zu machen. Jetzt setzt die Britische Regierung noch eines oben drauf.

A NY
man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last,
and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had
been vacant for 15yrs.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no
heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the
large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go
to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary
to the property anyway..... so, nobody made an offer on the place.
The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in, and
set about to tear in to the barn..... curiosity was killing him. So, he and his
wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders..... and cut thru the welds.
What was in the
barn...............????

Bad Minor
Auf meinen Streifzügen durchs Internet begegnen mir immer wieder skurile Seite oder andere interessante Dinge die ich Euch nicht vorenthalten möchte.
Heute bin ich durch Zufall auf ein YouTube-Video gestoßen das ein Morris Minor V8 dokumentiert. Der Eigner hat den kleinen Rennzwerg mit der Videokamera gefilmt und bei YouTube hochgeladen. Mit Carbon-Motorhaube und Kofferraumdeckel ein feine kleine Kampfmaschine.
Aber auch der zweite Film zeigt einen unscheinbaren V8 Morris Minor in Aktion.
